Rita Romano, the acclaimed Phoenix cookbook author and celebrated cooking school instructor, uses her imagination in a wide variety of recipes and also gives culinary tricks and tips to create the marriage between the sauce and the pasta. She has simplified the recipes to accommodate today's busy working society without sacrificing their exquisite flavors. Rita takes seriously the quality and preparation of classic Italian dishes. She believes that the preparation and serving of food is a celebration of creativity and an opportunity to share something special with loved ones.
Rita says she feels very fortunate and blessed to have been born in Italy and to have experienced all the passion of "Vivere Italiano" (living Italian). With the assistance of six older sisters, most of whom were culinary artists, she developed a great passion for good food, good wine, good music and fashion.
For the past six years she has conducted cooking classes in a little cottage adjacent to her home in Phoenix. "It is always a thrill when students tell me that when they enrolled in my cooking classes, they could not boil water.
